Management Information Systems
Established on March 3, 2016, the Management Information Systems (MIS) Department offers an interdisciplinary education that teaches how information technologies can be used in business management. This department provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the design, development, and management of information systems. Designed for students who wish to explore the potential of information technologies in enhancing business efficiency, the department ensures that students receive a solid and up-to-date educational foundation in data management, software development, system analysis, and digitalization of business processes.

Due to the rapid advancement of technological infrastructure in businesses, there is an increasing need for mid-to-senior level managers in the global and Turkish competitive markets who can integrate management information systems and technologies with economics, finance, the service sector, accounting, international business and trade, logistics and transportation, and maritime enterprises.
The Piri Reis University Management Information Systems program was established in recognition of the fact that the information and communication sector is one of the most critical drivers of today’s rapid global transformation. In recent years, the business world has shifted towards interdisciplinary collaboration, and our program integrates technological infrastructure with human resources to prepare students for this evolving landscape.
